The Sea Turtles Were So Cool!!!

When we got to Magdalena Bay, one of the things we did was a 24 hour sea turtle census, but first we had to catch one.

When we were catching the sea turtles we used a special net. It was 140 metres long and it was divided into 7-meter long sections, so when we caught a sea turtle they could float up to the surface and breath. When we finally caught one we brought it on board and untangled it; then we put a wet shirt over its head and rubbed its throat to calm it.
