Elementary Activities

  • Lower Elementary Zumba:

Lower Elementary students will be participating in one of their favourite activities — Zumba — at DVMS, with Maria Isabel Garcia Castro of Maisa Fitness, who has been leading these high-energy classes at DVMS for a number of years. They will have Zumba on Fridays, April 6, 13, 20, and 27. Please ensure children wear or bring clothing they can move and groove in on Zumba days.

  • This Week’s Lower Bake Sale:

Will take place during their lunch period on Wednesday, April 25.

  • Upper Elementary Track and Field:

Upper students will begin track and field at McMaster on Friday, April 13, and will continue on Fridays, April 20, 27, and May 4.
Please guide your Upper Elementary child to remember to bring or wear athletic clothing, and their water bottles. For the Mac days, they will need to bring their clean, indoor gym shoes as well as outdoor athletic shoes (they’ll be indoors if the weather demands). Students will be transported to and from McMaster by bus.
If you would like to pick your Upper Elementary child up from Mac, please be outside the David Braley Centre (use the Sterling St. entrance to McMaster) at 3:00 (after 3:00, children will be bused back to DVMS).

  • Summer Casa Camp:

Registration for DVMS Casa Summer Camp is now available.

DVMS Casa Summer Camp is held on the grounds of Dundas Valley Montessori School. Staffed by DVMS Montessori trained staff and using our beautiful playground, gym, and multi-purpose room, each week will follow a theme with games, crafts, activities, and community outings. On Fridays we will have a barbecue lunch to end a week of fun and adventure. Our Summer Camp welcomes DVMS students and other children ages 4-6 (or have completed their first year of Casa as DVMS), meeting their developmental needs in a safe, nurturing environment.
