Mary has been a part of Montessori education for over 35 years. She earned her AMI primary diploma in Toronto under the direction of Renilde Montessori and, since then, has taught at various Montessori schools throughout South-Western Ontario. In addition to teaching, Mary presents workshops, consults with Casa guides and parents, and writes about Montessori education on a regular basis. Mary served as the programme director for the Canadian Association of Montessori Teachers between 2006-2013 and, in the fall of 2014, she established a Montessori classroom in Chengdu, China. Mary is the author of Directing the Montessori Children’s House, and she is passionate about supporting Montessori guides, parents, and the Montessori community in their transformative work with children. When not commuting from Waterloo, (it’s worth the drive!), Mary loves skating, choral singing, and sleeping!
