Michelle is the French specialist in Upper Elementary. She is the daughter of an Anglo dad and a Québecoise-Franco mom and learned both languages from birth. A writer by trade, so far she has enjoyed a colourful career as a bilingual writer and editor at a federal government agency, a magazine editor, a freelance journalist and corporate writer, an aspiring novelist, and an occasional teacher in Hamilton-area French schools, all the while teaching piano or tutoring French on the side. She is eternally grateful to have stuck with her French and has noticed that everything sounds kinder, more polite, and sweeter in that language. She never tires of meeting people and hearing them say they are “enchanté!” (enchanted) to meet her.
